North London Luthier

Hi all, I'm living in North London and looking for an experienced luthier. Do you have any suggestions? Some people suggested www.felineguitars.com but I'm not sure if it's worth going all the way to South? Thanks in advance.

Alberto Zioli at Creation Studios in Camden/Kentish Town does good work.

Where are you based? We are surprisingly direct to get to compared to some treks round the North Circular.

Yes, it’s worth the trip if it’s something you want doing well on a guitar you’d hate to get messed up.  They’re not cheap, but, from experience, you get what you pay for.

philippe dubreuille is fantastic, been getting guitars sorted by him for almost 20years.... crikey!!!!! That's crept up on me.

What exactly are you looking for from the luthier?

L A guitars in Whetstone N20 have been the top Luthiers in N London for 30 years ;very good violin , cello and acoustic makers too............they are also the appointed repairers for B and G guitars .Not Cheap but very experienced.
 They are not the best for complicated wiring schemes/ electronics but fantastic on the pure luthiery like builds and set-ups

If you can hop on the tube, Kevin Bourque t/a Stairway to Kevin in, of all places, Denmark Street is a magician and a delightful fellow to deal with, to boot.

Never tried LA Guitars but as they’re walking distance from Schloss Moans I should give ‘em a whirl next time I need some fettling.

Malcolm Hine in Edmonton...great guy who used to set up all my guitars for me.  Just search for MPH guitars.
