    Except Robert Fripp was doing it earlier- and he didn't exactly invent it.
    You can trace it back to Pierre Schaeffer's Musique concrète techniques in the 1940's.

    Yes but would argue most of today’s loopers haven’t heard of Robert  Fripp !
