NAD: dream amp

What's Hot

So having sold my Helix LT I've seen looking at everything to replace it. 5150, JVM, Dual Rec, Stiletto ACE, PRS MT15 and then I had a thought of finally getting my dream amp.

Looked every where and finally found on on eBay for a price I could just about afford.

Yep, Mesa Mark IV.

I've been dreaming of owning one for over 15 years. Just waiting to get details of when I can go collect it

I owned one for a few years. Utter monster of an amp, I loved it - HNAD!

Beware the weight though, heavier than a fat racoon holding a bowling ball.

Phenomenal amp - I'd say Mesa's finest.  Congrats!

Great combos. I've had two. Enjoy.

... oh, and do your back a favour and get the casters.
    I think, therefore.... I... ummmm........

A flightcase is better - it becomes a two-person lift, and the placement of the wheels is slightly further apart so there's less of a tendency for it to fall over than there is with them attached to the combo itself.

From what I've read it still weighs less than the Laney VC50 I used to own.

Lifting heavy Hayter mowers all day means I can handle the weight without crying too much

Over 80lb, if it's the version with the EV speaker.

There are heavier amps, but it's the sheer density of these little Boogies that's so remarkable - all the other heavy amps are much larger and usually have at least two speakers.

The Trem-o-verb is 98lbs, but feels lighter than the Mark IV because it's twice the size.

Just picked it up this morning and I've had a quick 5 minutes with it.

    2 words, holy shit.

I've booked a small rehearsal room tonight just to fully play it. I've just got very excited

Spent a good two hours with it yesterday. Love it. A few things I need to look into like boosting things for solos etc

Where would I find those push in castors? I've got the mounts for them but not the wheels themselves.
