For sale, a Fender US Hot Rod 52 Telecaster. Considering a new purchase so I have to raise some cash / make some room.
What can I say about it?
This tele has that vintage vibe and it feels like it can take a lot of abuse. Rock n’ Roll machine with a premium ash three-piece body finished in butterscotch blonde.
Not a one trick pony - the combination of pickups is very interesting: a Custom Vintage Tele single-coil for the bridge, and a Seymour Duncan Vintage Mini Humbucker at the neck, which is a relatively low output, Alnico V design.
Overall very well balanced, super defined and round neck position, twangier bridge position without being sounding ice picky. Did not gig the guitar but used it a lot for recording purposes because of its sonic flexibility
A super-playable "U" shape neck. A flatter fingerboard radius and medium jumbo frets also contribute to the easy playability.
A deluxe vintage tweed case that I wish I could keep but I won’t.
The guitar is in excellent condition and I would ask £1,100 for it, excluding shipping negotiable (needs to a change of strings).
I have another one on sale, very nice Japanese in Lake Placid Blue with VanZandt upgraded pickups – check it out!
