Any thoughts on this? one has come up for sale at a decent price near me and I'm always looking for a new amp!  it has the solid state rectifier.

from what i read the clean channel is fender heaven, and the drive a bit meh.   worth changing the speaker, any other mods to make the drive channel a bit more palatable?

I've had a clubster for about eleven years now, it's clean channel sounds are very much in the Fender camp, the drive channel is ok but it's not great as for the speaker it's a Celestion Seventy/Eighty which is the stock speaker it came with, again not great but usable. I've not bothered to change it but no doubt there are better alternatives on the  market.
Overall it's been reasonably reliable with the usual vavle changes (2x EL34 &2x 12AX7)

tried it didnt buy it.

was ok but sound wise nothing special, the drive channel was meh as expected and the clean channel was nice enough fender sound but nothing special.
