Bono owns his own investment bank so he's very switched on.
This could be a great thing for Fender.

Will there be a signature Edge model Fender for every song in the U2 catalogue?

I always picture "the edge" playing explorers more than any other guitar. Guess I'm old.

Do they own Parker yet? Presumably they'll have to make The Fly now. The road the factory is on will probably have it's name removed....

Was my first thought too, I've seen him play strats, teles and les Paul's but I associate him with an explorer.

Bono is the world´s richest rock star thanks to an early google investment. Has a long track record on tech investment and is respected in the sector believe it or not.

Well there was the all-black Strat he used quite a lot back in the day.

Not quite sure how this will help sell more of their 50+ year old guitar & amp designs to a fiercely loyal customer base. If ever there was company that should be easy-as-pie to run, it's Fender.

I'm sure they'll take Pride in their new roles.

Have you seen their Supply Chain and the other companies in the group? It looks far from easy!

Well I suppose I can take some meager comfort from the fact it's not due to his music... :D

I suspect he's somewhat autocratic - quite prepared to do what he wants With Or Without You.

To fit in with their anti-corporate (though not really) stance, they're going to de-logo everything.

    Wait for it.
