Got to agree with holnrew .. September's such a lovely month. Still warm, the leafs on the trees starting to turn into a wonderful golden colour and lots of fresh produce at our local farmers market.

Autumn is pretty and pleasant but indicative of the end of a life cycle so tinged with some sadness. Spring and summer are where it all happens.

I'm pretty much happy the whole year except January which is just too cold and dark and horrible, but my daughters 1st birthday will be on the 15th this year so I might just enjoy the whole year.

I like autumn, lot of work for me. Lots of preserving, pickling, cider making, wine making and so on. Plus I have to start felling trees, logging, splitting then moving it all down to the house. Lots of work, plus the build up to xmas is a busy time for the business.

My birthday is on the 3rd of Jan, so I kind of like the start of the month.  Feb's a bit shit though.

Weather aside - Autumn is my busiest month at work and apart from going in for a 6/7 days around results time, August involves no work at all    

So there is no rush - sadly the time off always goes a lot quicker for some reason...

I had a stupidly busy Christmas last year ... I sold pickups in ludicrous quantities ... so this year I'm going to be gearing up all through the Autumn so I don't have to be clearing a backlog of pickup builds into March!

Still in summer mode. Autumn means darker nights and more teaching and the increasing downward spiral until Christmas and the horrors of January and February. Loath it going dark at 4 in the afternoon

Mrs C and I are preparing for autumn by going on holiday in a few week's time. I hate being cold, and suffer from mild S.A.D. in the winters. It's one reason why I couldn't live any further north than here. Thankfully, the one thing you can say in Thanet's favour, is that the climate here is remarkably kind, almost like a micro-climate.
