Trying to sing has given me a headache :(

I've got to do a busking type gig this weekend and I've been told I just do rock indie stuff, so have been trying to play out some one man and guitar type crap, but because my voice is so crap and nasal I appear to have given myself a migraine. This must be a bad sign?

That's nothing, when I sing everyone gets a headache!

Seriously though, it could be you trying to sing in wrong key or forcing a sound that you want rather than your natural voice.

You're singing with your head voice not your chest voice (diaphragm).

You're probably right, i was sat down singing with guitar all hunched up i suppose, i was perhaps a little too hasty but you know how annoying it can be! Looks like the summer fair I'm meant to be playing at will be moved inside if the forecasted rain comes...may save the day!
