Tonight for me is 2 hours of cover tunes fun at a farmers wedding in the coltswolds- should be a big party knowing those farmers....

Lowrise are playing tomorrow night at Fac251 in Manchester.

It's part of the Indie Week thing. I think every band in the whole of the North West is playing over a week in various locations.

Except us @gusman2x ! Haha...Although we're at the Royal Oak in Chorlton later on tonight, which might be part of Indie Week? I'm working tomorrow mate or would pop round. I'll see if any of the lads are at a loose end.

Playing at The Albion, Clifford tonight. We have a dep drummer in tonight as our regular guy has had a family bereavement and has had to fly back to Malaysia, so it could be "interesting"

Just got back from playing. Quite a long way to play a gig ( about 90 miles round trip) but very receptive and they have booked us again.

40th Birthday party, Packed room at 9pm raring to go,

2 songs in someone shouts 'Buffet's Ready'...

Room immediately empties....

Then slowly begin to fill up with people munching on plates of food and shooting me the evils for the rest of the 45 minute set as I'm disturbing their dinner....

We got a pay rise because we did well - £30 each (to 6 of us + sound man). 

The "novelty" of playing live in a band has now worn off, if you get my drift. Time to get serious about playing!

Some guy came up to me and said my guitar looked "real serious - a player's guitar" - I thought "too right given the price" lol...

I've not really been posting for the last few months and didn't write anything about our last gig a few weeks ago. We played a mostly instrumental set with only one guitar after the singer came down with the flu. And the other guys had to perform without me at the show before that because I was hospitalised. Not a good year so far.

We're out again tonight, hopefully all four of us will make it this time. Attendance looks like being low again – the Facebook confirmations for the event would be covered by band members and their partners. And the weather's so nice (high of 28°) that we face fierce competition from the beergardens.
