Grahame at GSPBASSES supplied the Body and neck, I finished it and bodged it together. Grahame's work is outstanding IMHO

Body Mahogany thinline hardtail Strat with quilted maple top, finished with Green Quink waterproof ink and Tru Oil. Scraped faux binding

Neck Birds eye maple with CBS head, mix of antique pine and light oak wood stain then Tru oil

Wilkinson half tele bridge, Axetec locking tuners, CTS pots, Tokai LP Pickups

Another Quink Man!   It's great isn't it!   For other temptees, there's a UK company called Diamine who has a MASSIVE range of ink colours - for all parts of the spectrum and I think @paulnb57 will agree that ink is a VERY easy stain to use (and very cheap!).

I get all my inks here.  Always had excellent service, and they have a pretty wide range.

I am a (shhhh) fountain pen user, and I have a drawer full of bottles of different coloured inks.  No excuse not to try one on a guitar I s'pose.

Oh baby. I do like the look of that. 10+ years ago I saw Lightnin' Willie ( that's a real person) with his Erlewhine (spll?) thinline strat and fell in love. Couple of years ago played an Eternal one. Very nice. Very nice.

Oh wow, that's beautiful.

When I'm home and have a few more weeks wages under my belt, I'm contacting grahame about a possible strat build. I can get exactly what I want from warmoth but I'd rather go UK, and Grahame is a top chap.

I must try inks at some point, but my strat will be satin black with a white plate...
