Is that a good secondhand price?

I must admit I don't follow R9 prices, but when I clicked on the link I was expecting less than that.

That's a pretty good price. Shops like to ask over £3k used. Can't read the year though.

I was expecting it to be more than that.

Now if only I had the money... and the balls... and it was easy to ship it to Australia...

They say they'll arrange delivery worldwide.

The slightly off-angle flame on the top would bug me

And they don't even say how much it weighs!

It's a good price for an R9 from a dealer though.

They also don't mention about how much "buttah" it has. No "mojo" either.

Oh bollocks I'm posting inside a quote but for some reason I can't get out of it.  Anyway...

I wish UK dealers would give the weights of guitars.  Most US dealers do.  It's something a significant number of buyers want to know (especially with LPs) and it bugs me that I always have to ask.  Having said that, Richtone usually give totally the wrong weight anyway.

Give this man a wisdom! Also, I asked Richtone the weight and they said 9.02lbs.

I'm only now discovering that an R9 is much more expensive than an R4, R6 or R7.  Even an R8.

Is that just the difference between a bit of flame maple and a goldtop (or plaintop), or am I missing something?

    Thanks for that link!

So it seems it does boil down to the flame top and possibly "better", lighter mahogany in the body.

Interesting.  Personally I don't think I'd pay the extra, but for those who think it's worth it fair play to them.  I've long given up arguing about what guitars are "worth", we've all probably paid big money for something that's just that little bit better.

With the '13 and '14 R's and the stonking tops and finishes on a lot of the 'plain' R8's, ye'd have to be off yer tits to pay the extra lump for the R9.

    New retail I mean...

And £10k for the Believer Burst? Nah.
