I've got the iRig HD, works great with my Mac and iPhone/iPad - no problems with software compatibility on Mac/iOS at least.

Wibbs again...this review from amazon customer, any truth to it? (IRIG HD)

"After purchasing it turns out you need to spend extra money on basic amps and effects. I thought everything was included. It felt like buying a car without steering wheel and seats. You have to buy it separately to be able to drive."

The iRig plugs in via the lightning/30pin port on iOS so no, you can't plug in the charger at the same time.

The retard in the review doesn't get it that you're given the free version of Amplitube with the interface (along with some other amps/effects for free).
