Electrolabs pedals anyone?

I picked this pedal up about 20 years ago, still works and sounds great too!

Can't find much info out about the Electrolabs company though.

They seem to be quite rare - anyone else got one?

  • I've seen a few come up on eBay. Can you use it individually? I thought you had to plug them together with a special electro labs power supply. Something in the back of my head says they were a Dutch company, but I could just have imagined that...

    Wow-

    These are RARE

UK company and it was an attempt at a modular system with its own power supply (called the Mother).

The name of the company was Bell Electrolabs and was in the 80's.

Great pedals on all accounts, truly wonderful, and a lot of EHX influences inside.

EDIT: I found this on the electric interweb.http://blackguitars.com/bell-electrolabs.html

*An Official Foo-Approved guitarist since Sept 2023.

By the way- that's a seriously sought after pedal, the Sustainer....

There's wiring for 2 x 9V batteries inside as well, bit of a pain to get to as you wave to remove the casing screws to get inside.

Thanks very much for that information, didn't realise the company was BELL Electrolabs! The Sustainer is great - I've been going through my FX pedals with the intention of moving some on and gave this a blast for the first time in years and was reminded on why I've never sold it! Bearing that in mind, I never use it so if I was to receive a big offer for it I'd consider it!

BTW - @Lew Cheers for the Youtube video (even if it is a bit weird!.
