Lightnin' Hopkins lives! I think tone can be forgiven - he's playing the shop guitar.

Are those guitars on the wall small, or just far away????  :D

    Bit echoey, innit?
so if you fancy a reissue of a guitar they never made in a colour they never used then it probably isn't too overpriced.

Lovely player with real feel and a nice blues voice too. Tone worked for me.
I started out with nothing..... but I've still got most of it left (Seasick Steve)

And he and his band really cut the mustard live..and his solo on this track (@3:26) is great.

Let me guess. It's a I IV V song about how a woman has left him? I'm glad I can't access Youtube from work if it is :)

Hey - there's no need to start trying to impress us with all that theory stuff.

And any way, it's actually a twelve bar blues!

That sounds a lot like Jimmy Nalls.

    That is a compliment!

Oooh had to give a little listen to the iTunes previews. Delivers the goods on CD apparently. Bluddy luvly I reck'n.

I'll stick it on me "must get it soon" list ;)

"Fraudulent Waffle" is an interesting listen for sure! And technically brilliant.

  • Jokes aside, I've only listened to the solo in the second clip so far, but it is right up my street, that kind of thing. Superb stuff - Bluesy, but with a Jazz sensibility in there too... Very much like Warren Haynes of Gov't Mule in style....which is a very good thing in my book.

I shall be investingating these guys more...thanks for the heads up!
