It's an Overwater by Tanglewood JP bass and nice story to this one, well, I think so.

A mate knew I was in the market for something better than my Ibanez GSR180 and spied this in Guitar Guitar for £185 used! As he couldn't get hold of me, he decided to take a punt on it feeling confident I would like it, but if not, he was happy to keep it or move it on. Well, what a good mate as it's mint, plays really well and sounds great and these retail new for £350-400. The combination of J and P pickups makes for a versatile bass and it's passive.

I'd obviously heard of both companies but had never come across this range before. Anyone else own one?

Excuse the photo (nicked from another forum - the guy there was asking £290, then £270 and it was down to £240), but his pics were better than the ones I took but it's the same bass.

Tanglewaters. Played one at a bass show a few years back and was pretty impressed. Great find!

You might be able to knock a fair bit off if you swap the tuners for Hipshot Ultralites.

Not sure of the figures on a 4, but my 5 string Sandberg had big old tuners on it and swapping saved me a full half-pound! Made a huge difference for comfort.
