New Fender basses

Guess their kinda stepping on MusicMans toes  with the pickup choice, body shape a bit generic for my tastes. Modern Player looks the most interesting with the triple coil/switching arrangement, not to mention the cost.

Why?

They have no need to do anything other than make the best Precision and Jazz basses money can buy until the end of time.

That may not be very imaginative but a wheel is a round thing that doesn't need re-inventing either. (Although it can certainly be improved.)

Those look like a cross between a MusicMan and an old Ibanez Musician but without the inherent 'rightness' of either.
