New Project - Satellites At Sunset

New project is just getting started. Usual FB / Twitter channels and have posted a taster song below. Guitars and bass were recorded through a Kemper into Cakewalk Sonar X3.

  • Sounds great.  Wasn't keen on the first 1.53  to be honest but loved the rest after that when it really kicked off.  Nice tones and great vocals too.

33s of waves....bit much for me...

Riff guitar ( right pan)  I would like it a bit less busy.

Great vocals...bring them up in the mix slightly...lets hear em !

    Is this a final mix?

Very nice track though...you clearly got to grips with Sonar...I couldnt !

    Good stuff...well done.

Thats really good, another thumbs up on the vocals from me too, spot on lead and backing vox. I too would up them in the mix, they need to be a good deal more up front, don't be shy cos they are good.

Sonar - we users are a rare breed! I'm looking at upgrading X3 producer to Platinum, dunno if it's worht it yet, but will be having a looksee.

Cheers guys, yeah I love Sonar but my first exposure to home recording was with Cakewalk's Guitar Tracks which was an entry level DAW I guess about 11 years ago so I've stuck with Cakewalk since then.

I would call it a semi final mix. I want to put together an album later this year and will be working on it gradually due to other commitments but I wanted to complete and share a few songs to get feedback like this as the last full recording project of mine was a  few years ago so all comments gratefully received!!!
