I'm toying with taking this as a trade - the serial number is 9061062 but the trader isn't the original owner and I'd like to know more to help assess value.  I think from what I've read that it's made in China.  I'd guess this is worth around £200?

Any thoughts?

Depending on age it could possibly be Korea.

Essentially (as I understand it) MIJ Tokais have two screw truss rod covers and often have the more conventional Gibbo style head.

MIK and now MIC have three screw truss covers and (UK import models) have the altered headstock.

Have you tired the Tokai Registry/ forum?

Note: will happily alter/ delete any of above if wrong, just put me right folks!

  • Funnily enough, the very serial number appears but I don't believe for one minute it's accurate:
