Been working on a new track with my band, I'm really pleased with it.

I should probably add this is a rough practice room recording so the sound quality is balls.

It's based on an arrangement that our singer found (can't remember who by) which we've tweaked a bit.

I get to use the Velvet for some epic tonez

Friday afternoon 'multi tasking' listen. Nice. That bluesy, funky, female vox puts me in mind of Debbie Davies album Tales From The Austin Motel, which is Debbie plus Double Trouble. Some great songs on that although I think the only well known cover is I Just Want To Make Love To You.

Really cool vibe, with a good recording this could cook.  I was in a band that sort of covered the Elvis version except(and this wouldn't work as well with a female vocalist) our singer substituted "beaver"for "fever" throughout.  We usually had everybody in the room joining in of the chorus, especially the word "beaver".
