We did a gig on Saturday night in a cool little basement venue in Chorlton. Gig went great and all that.
There was this extremely drunk older guy in his late 60's who was a bit 'special' not in a major way but looked like an ex hippie who'd done too many acids back in the day and his head never screwed back on properly.
Anyway we set up and he's stood basically right next to me and dancing like a lunatic swills his beer on me, my guitar, pedals etc and my leads are sitting in a small puddle of beer. He nearly takes out the PA speaker which is right in front of my on a chair and I basically played half the gig one one leg propping up the speaker and sometimes pushing the guy back into the crowd....All good fun I guess but could have done with more help off the organiser, who was pulling the guy back at times but needed to sort him out properly.
What do you do in this situation? I'm more of a get on with the gig as it was going great and didn't want to slow the momentum, quick wipe of the guitar and pedals and no harm done I suppose. He was entertaining the crowd too so I'm loathe to get pissy on someone like that who is enjoying themself....

Stuff him. You've got to admit he would make an interesting subject for your next taxidermy lesson.
