Turning a black pickup into zebra?

I just had a crazy thought... I've got a pair of black Seymour Duncan distortions that I want to put into my Dean Z79 explorer. However the stock pickups are zebra with zebra surrounds, and I think they look nice.

Is there any way to make black pickups look like zebra, preferably in a non-destructive fashion? I'm open to any crazy suggestions but I don't want to spend too much effort on it - it's just a nice to have.

I'm thinking along the lines of sticking a piece of cream vinyl over the top etc...

not sure these days.   You can probably make some out of vinyl 

found some on ebay,  but not cream

tbh, i think they are a bit naff, but okay for a quick cosmetic change.
