how bad can it be? think ive got an old antoria one you can have but it is utterly crap,,, made up of bits of wood i think and quite heavy. yours for postage or collect from kent

Hmmnn, might be interested stuagu. I originally thought I'd rout a crap body for practice and then get something decent, but if it turns out OK then I'd probably leave as is, in which case ideally it shouldn't be too naff. I don't suppose you have a pic? It would have to be post as I'm in Luton, 30 miles north of London.

I'll prob take a few pix, but it won't be a photo blog. I'm a bit of a hack merchant compared to some of the skilled members here!

I have a un-used Alder (2 piece I think, will need to check) Tele body blank (from guitarbuild.co.uk) that has no routing other than the neck pocket. I have just put a thin coat of tru-oil on it, there are a few scratches where it's been kicking around but these can be sanded out I'm sure and it would be a great starting point if you have the ability to route from scratch.

Let me know if you're interested, I'm not going to get to it any time soon so was thinking of selling it on.

hopefully the neck pocket will give you some idea of the "quality" of wood we are talking about here? ... i use the term wood and quality very loosley!

I've just sent Jooky a Tele body.

Hermes via Interparcel was cheapest.  I wouldn't normally trust Hermes, but figured that they couldn't really break an empty body.  That might be tempting fate ....

they couldnt break this thing ... its more glue and sawdust than wood!

what a silly question... itl be different weight... forget that !

Cant beat free im afraid, thats a pretty good deal. Was thinking about £25 inc postage (although i work in Hemel Hemstead so not far from Luton which would take a fiver off). Cheers

Never got off the ground. I felt twitchy in the end about using old electronics. It's a hell of a lot of work for something that it is hard to get spares for. Still got the Variax in the loft.
