Didn't want to hijack @ChrisMusic 's thread but have added a link on his thread for him to here, or anyone else who is interested, in terms of some of veneer examples and how flexible a medium it is, stained or natural:

    Some beautiful work there. Is it just me though, the basses seem to suit veneers much more than 6 stringers.

  • Hey Andy, thanks for putting these up here.  They look absolutely stunning.  I never realised that a simple veneer would look so good on a guitar.  The North American Burl Walnut on an Ibanez bass is just amazing.
    I just love natural textures, Mother Nature really does take some beating, and each pattern is unique, which is a nice bonus.
    Adding this to my thread would have been fine, but this is probably a better place to put it, so it is a general resource available for everyone.
