What do you do with the transmitter? stick it on your belt or use something to strap it to the guitar strap?

Neither - Mine is the "bug" type where the transmitter is part of the jack that goes into your guitar and there's just a stub sticking out (the "bug") so there's nothing physically on my person, it's all on the guitar itself.
