    Late 60's - 70's Gibson acoustics arene't very desirable and square shouldered J45s less than slope shouldered.

    I've found 2008 book prices:

    Vintage Price Value For 2008 :
    1942 - 1949 > $4500 to $7500
    1950 - 1960 > $3700 to $4700
    1961 - 1969 > $2400 to $3500
    1969 - 1974 > $1500 to $2000 ( square shoulders )
    1975 - 1999 > $1500 to $2000 ( round shoulders )

    So considering the condition not really a bargain, you can buy this early 70's J50 (essentially a natural J45) in much better condition for £1300.

    Not that I have the cash, but most J45s I've ogled have been 3-4K so I was a bit 'Whaaaattt!?'
