2 to 3 m speaker cable?

 I'm after a 2 or 3 metre cable to connect a head to a cab. Is it the sort of thing that one can stroll into Maplins and buy suitable cable for to make your own up?

Everything on eBay seems to be just 1 to 1.5m.

just use orange black and decker cable and solder the plugs yourself.

The orange stuff used for lawnmowers is the forum favorite for speaker cable.

I would recommend the Neutrik jacks because other types can short out if some Klutz stands on the cable and pulls against the tangs. Proper heat shrink or electrical tape to fully insulate inside.

You don't want to have a sudden short at your gig.

I know it'll work great, I just find it funny knowing that it's a Lawnmower or strimmer cable.

Im a big fan of short speaker leads perosnally, less chance to get them snagged on something.
