Daft effects loop question?

On the bandit, there is an effects loop on the front, and a preamp out, power amp in on the back.  

What's the difference?

effects loop will be instrument level, preamp out power amp in will be line level.

Cool, that pretty much sorts me out!

Would the pre out work into a mixer then? And I guess that means it's more aimed at rack mount effects.

Did not realise it had this up its sleeve.
