SOLD: Kawai Rock'n'Roll Star

I would have titled this "FS:  Rocking Horse sh1t", but that wouldn't have been quite so helpful.

This is a provisional ad - it's on the assumption that the guitar that I've just paid for arrives safe & sound next week.

I've bought a minty mint condition version of this guitar, so this one is for sale.  A man only needs so many Kawai guitars.

This one is not in original condition, and it's a long way from minty mint.  It's structurally sound, no neck breaks, plenty of fret life, and it works as it should.  But there's plenty of cosmetic damage, the coil tap switch is non-standard, and it's obviously had some holes drilled and filled on the top at some point in its life.  IF anyone's interested, I'll do some better pics of the damages.

In 10+ years of looking for scouring the globe for Kawais, I've bought *ALL* the Rock'n'Roll Star models that I've found.  3 including this one.  Kawais are not exactly commonplace, but this model is very-not-exactly-commonplace.  It's from the early/mid 80's, the body/neck are silver heart, the semi body has a spruce top.

It's £175, plus delivery.  

I don't have a case for it though I can probably find a gig bag that'll fit it, and I've got plenty of guitar sized packing boxes.  Alternatively, a meet-up within 10-15mins of any part of the A14 (Felixstowe through to the M1) should be possible if you're flexible on timings.

Wow didn't expect to see this for sale never mind at such a cheap price. Curse being too skint and Xmas looming large!

I would expect someone to snap this up.

Oh yes.  Unnecessary AND in completely the wrong place.  

When I original got the guitar, I thought "when I've got the spare ££s", I'd get it properly finished.  Removed the switch, fill the hole, get it refinished to hide all the filled holes and generally smarten it up.  

But I never did.  And now I've gone and spent the monies on a minty mint one ...

I never intended or expected to be selling it tbh, but it is now "spare" (assuming the new one arrives intact and as described of course).  

I think (hope) the price is fair - but if anyone wants an expert opinion, there's a website that I can direct you to which is run by a real Kawai enthusiast, who'll probably give an opinion as to fair value.

It's as rare as the rocking horse stuff, but it needs a lot of tlc to get it into a decent condition.  And I got the other one for a reasonable (though somewhat higher!) price, so I'm not looking for loadsamoney for this.
