Gear wise, I reckon I'm pretty much done and all I need for 2014 is a small, loud, portable bass amp, a vintage, script logo, late 70's MXR Envelope Filter and possibly another Flashback Delay for a different setting (prefer to have 2 of these units rather than having the X4). I'm pretty sure it's gonna be a lean year.....that is until I try stuff at the GearFest!!!!

  Future GAS:  a small, fairly low wattage all valve amp.  Contenders are: Fender Excelsior; Classic 30 ; Blues Deluxe.  The former is most likely, but the latter sound so fucking good I just WANT them!!  For guitars, a Gibson Firebird.  ( and I'll continue my quest for an LP I can get on with.)  You rotters have me thinking about a Fender Jazzmaster, too- I just love the sound of soapbar pickups so...   Pedalwise, I'm pretty happy.  Other than an MXR Analog Chorus, and maybe a RAT, I can't think of anything I really want.  ( unless I stumble upon a Strymon Flint for a song- the Boss one I have works a peach, and does the job well.)

I'm amazed that I didn't buy a guitar in 2013, particularly since I've been actively looking for one for practically the whole year.  I'd have thought in the current market someone with cash to spend would be spoiled for choice.

But I have a pretty well defined range of specs, and while a few options did appeal the deal was never done for one reason or another.  I seem to have come up against an odd bunch of sellers in 2013, either unwilling to provide specs, or unwillingly to let me see the guitar in question, or in one case caught out in a blatant lie.

I did buy a THR10C, a ZT Club and a Line 6 M9.

Oh and I sold a Tokai Springy Sound.
