You can play two basses at once?  Did you learn that just so you could cover Big Bottom by Spinal Tap?

Piano or tenor sax. I can just about bash a tune out on Piano but played sax in my youth before discovering the guitar.

I'd probably opt for a Banjo.

My true love would be uilleann pipes, but I think that they would be too noisy and too hard to learn.

Dunno, piano - yes probably. But I'd rather something else - Trumpet, Clarinet/Soprano Sax, Tenor or Alto Sax - there's a dearth of new trumpet or trombone players coming through these days.
Imagine something sharp and witty here ......

Always fancied playing the steel drum and congas. At the same time if possible.

Maybe the drums, theremin, synth or the a saw.
I would love to change my username, but I fully understand the T&C's (it was an old band nickname). So please feel free to call me Dave.

@WezV just make sure you've got plenty of room for another piece of furniture! My mate imported his (to California) from Taiwan IIRC. He regretted the major logistical challenges this caused him!

Definitely Banjo :) Even if its just learn the intro to "Losin' Your Mind" by Pride & Glory, then it can go back in the wardrobe!!

As I play acoustic, does electric guitar count?! If not then definitely the piano.

Definitely the piano - I can play a few chords, but I'd love to be able to play properly

I'd like to say Piano but I think I'd struggle to get past grade 1, so better off with a stringed instrument,so I'd go for a
    a good quality Cittern.

Either Piano or a Modular Synth. I know some piano chords, but struggle with all but the most basic melodies.

And who doesn't want a huge Modular Synth....

I too love the sound of the uileann pipes. Maybe learning the drums might be easier to 'get away with' in a domestic situation....

  • Trumpet. Absolutely the trumpet. I've played alto sax since I was 12, as well as guitar, but always fancied learning the trumpet.

For patrotic reasons, maybe the bagpipes.
