Have you played a new Taylor 614? What did you think of it?

I've played a 2016 Taylor 614ce and personally, I think it is on par with my SCGC DPW and Collings OM2H. It's that good. 

I wonder why there isn't more hype about them on the net. I'd be interested to hear other people's opinions, good or bad.

I haven't played any of the revoiced Taylors - though I always liked the fact that they sound 'different' from established brands.

I've never really rated Collings - beautifully made - but really 'tight' sounding when new. I doubt I have long enough left to play one in.

SCGCs are the best acoustics I've ever played.

614 in all forms, is a lovely guitar

it's all subjective simple. but I do think that certain taylor models are up there with the top makes.

Pre 97 Collings were fine very fine. Since they went to a Poly Base they need some run-in time. However a Tone Rite soon sorts that out
