FS 1965 Fender Mustang

With a heavy heart I have decided that I'm going to have to sell my old Fender Mustang as I just don't play it as much as my casino and I would prefer something more gibsony and bigger sounding. Anyway, it's one of the desirable 'L series' serial numbers which dates it to early '65 and means that it was made from leftover pre CBS parts. I've just had it checked over at Charlie Chandlers Guitars in Kingston Upon Thames and it's all original except for one of the switches that I replaced a year ago because the old one had become scratchy, I still have it though and will include it in the sale. Comes with its original hard case and tremelo arm too.

Trades wise I'd be interested in lots of things, let me know what you've got! Otherwise £1195 seems about right.

Thanks,

Sam

Damn, that looks just like the one I had which I should never have sold :(. It was a great guitar, but the band went in a different musical direction and I sold all my short-scale Fenders eventually.

I can't justify buying another one really, or I would…

Good luck with the sale, looks like a really nice one.

Thanks, that's pretty much the same situation with me, and I know I'll regret selling it but I just hope that whatever other guitar I get with the money will be worth the sale of this! Hmmmm but yep, great guitars..

Hi, would you be interested in a trade for an original 1977 Telecaster?

Looks nice, although I do already have a tele... Where are you based? I suppose it'd be down to how it feels and sounds, as I'm not super keen on natural Teles..

Looks more butterscotch though, I like it!

    I like both in fact.

Yes it has aged to a nice butterscotch colour and I'm based near Worcester.

It is a nice tele, but to be honest, the point of me moving on the mustang was to get something more suited to the music I play in my band, which would be something with a set neck and higher output pickups I'd imagine. So although it is tempting I think I'll have to pass on the tele as I already have one and am really looking for a gibson or something of that ilk
