WTD: SD Antiquity Tele Set or just Bridge

edited June 2016 in Parts £
Looking for the Antiquity with the alnico 2 magnets. Not the Antiquity 2's with the alnico 5's.

Would consider other brand Bridge has to be a bit mellower - my Nocaster bridge is a bit harsh.

Cheers

Beware that the Antiquity neck pickup is REALLY dark!  I bought an Antiquity neck for my '66 tele and it was unusable.  Not just mellow, really dark and nothing like an old tele pickup.  I have a 2nd '66 tele with original pickups and A/Bd the them with the Antiquity and there was no common ground at all.

I got one of Spence's SHED Prairie Dog neck pups to replace it on recommendation of @ESChap and this really is what a tele neck pickup should sound like.  I am a HUGE fan of Antiquity humbuckers but for me they lost the plot with their Antquities for teles, well, certainly the neck anyway.

    Thanks surfguy13

For your experience with the Antiquity. I've just contacted Mojo pickups and explained what I'm after, he also seems to do a nice relic job on them. Waiting to hear back from him.

I really hope you find the right pickup with the sound you want.  I'd be interested to hear what Mojo say and what you end up with.  Good luck!!

I should mention that Spence did a really nice ageing job on the Prairie Dog too..........
