I just ordered another Megapar so had the link handy. The little carry case is pretty good too.

I bought some a couple of months ago after getting sick of hiring mediocre lights for more than these cost to buy. I compared them to some Chauvet slim par 56's (which cost 4-5 times more, and the light was equally vivid and had a similar spread).
They're cheap so it doesn't matter if one breaks after a few uses, and the ebay seller claims that they have a 2 year warranty. I've used mine for 3 or 4 gigs so far and had no issues.
Yeah, it's pretty amazing really. I bought one for a taster, cost me £18 or something, and was surprised by the quality. I quickly bought four more in a bundle. When they arrived one of them was missing a screw for the stand, so the seller refunded me £2 and told me it was easier to buy a suitable replacement from a hardware store than for them to post one.
I've run them in standalone mode, in master/slave mode with one light controlling the others, and controlled them all via DMX input. One thing to note is that these lights take a different DMX config compared to most other slim par lights that I've come across. They work like this: Master fade, Red, Green, Blue, strobe, macros; whereas most other lights seem to have Red, Green, Blue on channels 1, 2 and 3.
They also have two sound to light modes which work surprisingly well, although they don't have a mic sensitivity adjustment.
The only other disadvantage to this lights is that they each require their own power source, you can't daisy chain the power like you can with more expensive lights. The power cable is moulded to the case so the only option if you wanted to daisy chain them would be to modify them yourself.
Our setup requires power for 4 active speakers (2 subs and 2 tops), and 2 active monitors front of stage, as well as plenty of power for backline. Therefore we have power extension sockets available at both left and right sides and at front of stage, so we can plug the lights in there.
As long as we ensure there are spare sockets on the extension leads then we're fine, and we have the same amount of cabling running all over the place as we would if we were daisy chaining power to the lights.
If you still can't get them to work I would send a message to the seller on eBay.
I just play guitar so hoping the other guys can work them out...
