IRONY ALERT : Just listening to Texas Detroit City, now as we know Texas are an American Band singing about their home town !so just looking for suggestions for British towns which could be substituted for Detroit City

Aren't Texas from Glasgow? Or am I missing the point? I used to have a single by a band called Glasgow, although I can't recall what it was called.

So, I got the point but couldn't do much with it? I always thought as a band name Texas went to the wrong people as it seems to imply all sorts of southern music shenanigans that Texas actually don't do. Although that may well be another point that I get but don't seem to be able to do much with.
