The turning point!

What's Hot

I've had my tele long enough now to finally make a comment on it...

Why the f**k did I not get one sooner?!

Up until this point I've been a LP fan though and through; seems i've been missing out. It's made my playing become so much more versatile; I can sit down with one guitar and play just about any style of music I feel like without having to switch around. Anyone else found that they've had a turning point in their guitar preferences too?

Only trouble is now I want more of the things.

Have a picture of the guitar to be held accountable for all future purchases.

Exactly the same, les Paul's for 17 years, then got a tele 18 months ago and a whole new world of sounds opened up to me.
    Love them equally now
    ;;)

I'm sure i'll go back to being loving them equally once i've got over the initial excitement. I do still play my two lp style guitars a bit.

What i'm gas-ing for now is one with a bit more bite and warmth, but without loosing that lovely woody twang.

Strangely I used to hate them. I thought they were ugly, thin sounding planks of wood.
Now I love the look and the sound, especially the bridge pu flat out ;;)

You can never have enough Teles ... I'm informed that God (who is of course a Tele user) has many. :)

I'd see him as more of a bassist. How about a sg bass?

I started with Single Coils (Strat and Tele), but moved on to Humbuckers quite a while ago - my bedroom collection currently includes 5 Les Pauls.

It amazes me how Leo got it pretty much bang on first time.

It's been slightly modernized now but the core guitar remains pretty much the same. :P I'm still to fall for a strat in the same way though.
