New workshop time (nearly there...)

They're back today - I can't help but feel they could have done this in one day if they'd not buggered off at half one every afternoon. Hopefully that'll be it - there's only about two square metres of floor and the roof edgings to do as far as I can see.

Ducting just arrived - fortunately the insides of the workshop are finished so it could go straight in. Looking at the pile of stuff I might have overdone it a bit. As is the Sporky way. I'll get a photo later so you can marvel at the idea that 18m of ducting will fit into a 7m long workshop...

I also have a line on a compact industrial extractor/separator which looks perfect. 120kg but the machine movers are comign through the area in two weeks' time so it'd arrive just after the electrics are in.

Yup.

It won't look nearly as big once all the stuff is in, but it should be a lot more usable than the current space. Also warmer. Off to buy LED strip lights this afternoon.

I have just "won" this on t'bay. 10dB quieter than the alternative I was looking at, three times the airflow I need and almost twenty times the static pressure, all for less money.

It's about 20dB SPL quieter than what I have at the moment, so I'm happy having it inside the workshop. Rated at 74dB SPL at 1m at full chat.

Also there's very little space around the workshop so I'd rather leave that for garden storage.

Just bought the LED tubes - they have polycarbonate diffusers so should resist a knock or two. The chap asked how many I wanted, I said four, he asked how big the workshop was, I told him, he asked if I wanted some sunglasses too. How we laughed. I was tempted to buy six at that point.
