  • The LS-150 weighs 4.8kg (about 10 and a half lbs) - so not the lightest but still a feather compared to my old 1980 Gibson LP Standard which weighed nearly 13 lbs!

Are the Love Rock models any good?

I can only speak regarding an LS 80 (1980 model) that I recently sold but I bought that in preference to a whole wall of Gibsons that were on display at my local PMT ...... Many may disagree but I think Japanese guitars are not only better value for money but also craftmanship and playability too ....

  • Many of the new ones are excellent. I had a 2015 Hibiki that was specially selected for its light weight (under 8lbs and all solid). The high end new ones also have long tenons.

  • The 150 is now sold. The LS80 is still here and looking for a new home.

  • The 80 is still here. You won't find a better price on an all original LS80 anywhere else.

  • I'm seriously considering the LS80 myself. Stunning guitar. Can someone buy it so I don't have to think about it or spend the  (very fair) asking price! I played it and was blown away by just how good it was. So much mojo!
