I'm a fan of classic amplification vibe baby. I sat it next to an original 60s shin-ei and it out performs it with more volume, more headroom, and more speed. I understand that the current model has returned to vintage specs which probably means a reduction in headroom and less highs. I can get that anyway by using an eq. I have an early 70s shin-ei which is voiced towards the treble side. This means it works incredibly well with a fuzz but does require a bass boost for a clean.

Im not using any of the fancy bits on the V-2 and can honestly say that its the best vibe I've ever heard. Stunning! So by that reckoning I think the V-1 will be just as awesome.

My drybell v1 bumped off a Roger Meyer, which in turn totally smoked a Sweetsound Mojo, 2 versions of the Fulltone Deja Vibe, Pickle Vibe and the Micro Vibe.... The drybell is a keeper!
