SOLD: Fender Custom Shop 2009 Limited Edition 60s Relic Strat with Brazilian rosewood fretboard.

This is from the limited run Fender did in 2009 of Brazilian board Relics. They did another limited run in 2010 and you hardly ever see examples of either run come up for sale. I saw one on eBay several years ago and it sold for about £2500 iirc. There was also one on here in 2015 with an asking price of £2900 which sold within a month, and I'd be asking the same for mine. That is less than many dealers would charge for a brand new limited edition CS Relic today, without the Brazilian fretboard of course.

It comes with Abby pickups (the middle pickup initialled AB, the other two with 'Abby' written on the bases), the 65 'Big C' neck profile, a CS limited edition decal on the back of the headstock, a blonde Tolex case with Limited Edition embroidered on the inside, the COA, trem arm, bridge cover, lead, and leather strap. It weighs a gnat's whisker under 8lbs. I'd be interested in trading for a 50s LP Junior or Special, another Relic Strat or Tele, a Masterbuilt Relic, a Historic Les Paul, a fat-necked 335, Martin or Gibson acoustics or possibly other high end guitars or handwired amps. WHY? Cash either way depending on relative values. Thanks for looking.

Hmm, beauty. I have a journeyman 2 tone CS strat that looks very similar which I love, it has the 60s oval C neck. I have another  guitar with a big 65 C neck now too which is probably my favourite neck shape I have tried so far, so its tempting!

No this is from a limited edition with Braz boards and 'Big C' necks, that was available to European dealers only as far I'm aware. There's a number on a tag among the case candy which is 10818805-9, and the serial number begins with CZ. I know Mark @guitars4you remembers the run of these Braz board Relics.

There's a number on a tag among the case candy which is 10818805-9, and the serial number begins with CZ. I know Mark @guitars4you remembers the run of these Braz board Relics.

2009 model available only in sunburst, vintage white and candy apple red - 12 sunburst only allocated to the  UK - if you still have the shipping tag the number starts 92380051 white  then 52 sunburst and  53 car

yes 65C big neck profile - 9.5" radius 6105 frets  1960H/wound Abby's neck/bridge + AY 69 middle - Limited edition decal on case, headstock and neck plate

2010 version models are similar but different colours and a few tweaks 

unfortunately neither run have any markings on the guitar or certificate to indicate the Brazilian nature - but they can be traced via teh serial number if required and via the codes above I listed

I've found the shipping tag number and it's 9238000052, corresponding with what you said above Mark although with two extra zeros!
