You know, I didn't expect everyone to follow the amount I donated so closely.  I guess i picked an amount many were comfortable with without too much consideration.

Some may have given more or less.  I wouldn't worry too much about what people should or shouldn't give.  


Those extra contributions to the forum can just as easily be in valuable insight and good deals

Just shows you that asking straight out is really effective!
I bought a calendar but didn't need one and that's possibly why folk weren't in a hurry to buy them (although they did sell). A lot of folk won't value a calendar at £10 therefore won't buy one but clearly do see £10 as value for the use of this amazing forum.
