A bout of trading with the excellent Doug at Coda resulted in this arriving yesterday, the Louis Electric Columbia 6L6. And it's gorgeous! It'll be pressed straight into service and gigged tomorrow night.

I've got the 6V6 version - congrats - great great amp - I've had some stunning amps but this is about the best I've had - right up there with my 65 blackface super reverb

Can't get it past 2-3 in the "bedroom" but I've hooked mine up to a tone king iron man 2 for use indoors so can hit it's sweet spot comfortably 
have paired it up with a Buster - happy bunny now!
only slight niggle - can't get the tremolo really slow - how is it on yours?

2 is just about doable in the house... I cranked it to 5 and scattered the cats! For live use I reckon it'll be perfect for me.

I'll have a further fiddle with the trem later.

In short though it sounds sublime, just like a great old amp. Love the Jupiter speaker too.

Yup. 6L6's in mine though, good for around 28 watts.

Oh, God, it looks beautiful in the new colour scheme!

If push comes to shove, this is my favourite amp and the one I'd keep out of all my amps. Just a wonderful, rich, 3D-sounding thing with amazing depth.

Try some 6V6s in there too, it's sublime!

And congratulations, of course!

Standard Dualist from RD Amplification. Tried one recently and is really quite nice

It sounded bloody great tonight. Possibly the best clean sound I've ever had (probably tied with the Carr Slant) and loved being fed with a KOT. LOUD though! I barely made past 2.5 on the volume... it was a small pub mind you. Here it is in the wild... (look how classy it looks next to those awesome Christmas decorations...):

maybe get an attenuator to just give you a bit more - I mean just knock a couple of clicks back to get you to the sweet spot - the iron man 2 is great but a bit bulky - I hear good things about the swart unit
