He'd been ill, but this sounds like something more sudden and unexpected, and not related to his existing condition.

I'll treasure the experience of seeing him on the 'Frantic Four' reunion tour a couple of years back - the shocking thing is that the rumour at the time was that Alan Lancaster was ill, but Parfitt looked fine.

Sad times.

Very sad. He always seemed like a very positive and decent bloke and a powerhouse right hand too! I listened to bucket loads of quo when I was starting out and had many a great time jamming quo numbers with my mate, who was a rabid quo fan and will be devastated...

Condolences to his family and friends, such a shock. Whatever you think of the Quo (and I went through a long period of dismissing them through ignorance), he was a fantastic rhythm man.

He'll be much missed.

What were his white Marshall's? 

Fairly sure, judging by the pictures I have just seen on Facebook, that one of them looked to have an AC30 chassis in it. Only two of the four in the picture actually looked like Marshall amps. Even though they were all headshelled to look like a Marshall. 

Same with the cabs. What are they??
