My Kindle Fire appears to be no more . . .



It's alive ! I don't quite understand, but while trying to charge it using my phone charger (on the off chance it might work, it turns out it was already 100% charged) I pressed the volume switch by mistake instead of the on/off switch (which it wasn't responding to, but now works again) and it restarted.

    Sorry for your confusion, it appeared to have died - everything I tried to get it to work failed - connecting it to my PC it was unrecognised and both the proper kindle charger and my phone charger (which had the same connector) provoked no reaction. There's an on/off switch and that did nothing either.

    Pressing the volume control for some reason brought it back to life, and it continues to work as if nothing happened.

    It's a Christmas miracle !
