Check this one out. I have a J200 True Vintage and one of these Sigmas. The Sigma is every bit as good as the Gibson.

@guthrij thanks mate. These Sigmas look great - very authentic, and priced really well. I've not been able to find anywhere locally that has any in stock, so far, but I definitely want to try one.

The J200 version is hard to find outside of Germany. Sigma is a German Company. The Guitars are made in China. There is one available in Ireland, where I live. €900 (£770). I have played it and it is great. It only came into the shop a few days ago so it is not listed on the site. http://www.someneckguitars.com/

Another option, try a Guild F50, my ‘77 one is every bit as good as any J-200 i’ve tried.

Get a Guild JF30/JF65/F50 - cheaper than a Gibson, just as good, maybe better, I did the same search as you and ended up with 
a JF65, it's stunning
