Peach is 2 hours drive from me.

It's where i bought my amp and it's worth every minute spent getting there, non matter how you get there.

Coda is 45 minutes drive and a different feel but as good in every way and stocks some of the most amazing guitars i've ever seen.

Both are excellent places run by excellent people.

  • No one has mentioned Feline yet... If I (ever) had that kind of guitar budget they'd be high on my list of places to try.

  • I would say a Gretsch Brian Setzer signature model, but I am bias, as he is my hero...gush gush !

Custom Shop strat looks like a perfect addition to that list. As has been suggested.....go to a shop that has 10 or more and one of them will buy you.

It it was me....that budget would probably go on a "cheap" vintage Gibson jazz box from a trusted source. But that got a lot harder in 2016 when the dollar exchange rate shifted the goalposts.

I love the look of Nystrum guitars, Ben would make you something special for that budget.

  • Either a CS Jaguar, CS Jazzmaster or a Bilt Relevator.
My wife asked me to stop singing Wonderwall.
    I said maybe.....

How about a smaller OM bodied high-end acoustic?
Man, I'd love a Martin again.
My D28 covers all my acoustic needs amply. I love it.

I had a Krautster II before my CS Les Paul and it was a great playing guitar, lovely neck, but the finish on the body was really weird, not like Poly or Nitro, it showed finger prints really badly and it was kind of hard to wipe them off, it's hard to explain, not like any finish I've come across.

Plus, while it was good, there was just something about the knobs, or pots and hardware that didn't feel like the price tag it carried, but that neck was something else.

I would probably try an Anderson Raven. I might even end up with one.

    Strat is the obvious one.

The other option is a semi of some kind.  There are the obvious Gibson ones, but Gretsches are fun too.

It's maybe because I've got more Gibson's and Gretches than strats ;)
A black duo jet or a gold sparkle jet

It'd have to be Gretsch, something black or a JetGlo Rickenbacker 360/12WB if I could find one.

One of these, whatever it is.
You are a sick individual. I wouldn't know whether to play it, ride it or open a can with it
Nothing's stopping you doing all three.

Well, nothing apart from ergonomics, some minor laws of physics, and possibly personal pride on your part. :)
