I like that - which is odd, because I wasn't mad keen on the original.

Presumably it's just because it's blue now.
    Wasn't the original one blue?

Yet another article explaining how this is the first guitar ever that women can play. Whichever marketing type came up with this line must be really pleased with themselves.

Nauseating piece. I dig St Vincent but not she is not a "technically brilliant" guitarist and her guitar leaves no more space for boobs than a tele does either. She did however design it, which is more than you could say for other women guitarists.

It does look quite similar, it's the same basic shape but without out the horns, it even basically has the roughly same control positions. Then again the Esprit is meant to be a Firebird/Explorer/RD hybrid.

It's a badly researched article too. The signature guitar was debuted in August 2015, not early January 2017.

I don't get why you are nauseated by the article. And why do you reckon she isn't 'technically brilliant'? Are you really some sort of closet misogynist? Annie Clark is a highly proficient and talented guitarist. Maybe you just don't like her music, but it's a bit of an OTT reaction to what is essentially old news.

Hmm. Not seeing the St V as a direct copy of the Fret King, tbh. The Fret King has that Trev Wilkinson trait of being just *slightly* wrong in every way...

I think that's one of the other things that wound me up about it. It's not badly researched - it's a puff from EBMM trying to push the new version. If they said it was an eighteen month old guitar then they couldn't persuade a newspaper to print it, so they pretend it's new. There's just so much dishonesty in there.

Don't be redonkulous. I'm a definite fan, especially Actor, but Annie is no Steve Vai. The article is excessively fawning, (don't think she'd like the tone either, she's pretty low key in that respect, watch the Noisy vid or interviews) plus misrepresenting of the facts and poorly written.

    Think away. You're wrong :-)

I really like the MM Armada too - an unusual design and not associated with any particular artist as far as I know.

Like the Albert Lee MM's?  ;)

tbh I think both are cool designs regardless of the artist involved.  Although Alberts look less cool on him than they do in isolation.
