You need the direct link and use the 'insert image' icon.

if you use Imgur for your photos then it provides a direct link and auto-copies it for you..

Thank you. I will try Imgur, been using Photobucket as its who I have used previously but when I copy the link in it doesn't work

Thank you. I will try Imgur, been using Photobucket as its who I have used previously but when I copy the link in it doesn't work 

Photobucket is useless - and you end up with spammy links - imgur is much better - specially if you click on an uploaded image and use the 'direct link' button

when you post here, click on the image icon, deletes anything in the little box that appears and paste in the imgur direct link - should work straight away. 

Good luck! We're all waiting in anticipation. If it fails again just post the text of the link and we will insert the image in the thread..

There you go. Right click on picture select 'copy link' then paste into image icon when you reply. I always press the 'down' arrow to make sure it enters the posts. Nice guitars by the way

@Blackjack - for future reference, if you right click on the image and select 'open image in new window' or something like that - you'll see that the direct link is: "https://i.imgur.com/Uc1iOjv.jpg"

If you post that link in the image drop down then it will display as above.

How did you get it to work? I am using an iPad.  I copied the link into the url box, wrote the comment and posted but it refused to work. Maybe it's an iPad thing??

anyway, three of my guitar family! My beautiful Taylor, my Les Paul that I adore and my Epiphone 339 too!
