Does anyone here have any experience of these speakers and can comment on tone and build quality?

Have had a few, been impressed by all. Options I tried in my 2x12 were blues, greenbacks and a few eminence and I went with the WGSs in the end!

I recently bought a pair of WGS 8" to go into a bandmaster head and am really impressed with them. Money well spent!

I use WGS for all Rift amplifiers.

Like all speaker manufacturers, some of their offerings are better than others but that mainly comes down to tonal preference. I can see a very useful application for all of their models. The QC is excellent and I've yet to have a duff one. They also assemble speakers on behalf of other brands, such as Jupiter.

I can't recommend WGS as a company, and the speaker's themselves, enough.

I have a G12Q in my tweed Princeton clone and it sounds great, especially when pushed fairly hard.

Got a Retro 10 in a homemade 1210 cab, and I like it a lot.  It mixes extremely well with the Celestion 12 (Century Vintage) I have in there.

Ive got G12c's in my SF Deluxe Reverb and Carr Sportsman. They sound superb.
