Getting a response from the Matamp Factory

Have tried a couple of times now to contact via email and the form on their website, been a week and no response. 

I don't have time during the day to call them and discuss amp details,  I quite like writing down what I am after so it is straight forward and gets me the response I am after. Keep it simple. 

Has anyone had the same issue with them? I want to spend some money but the lack of response doesn't give much confidence....

Phoning is the best way with Matamp. The website is a new thing and they might still be getting used to it. The Matamp owners' Facebook group is a good source for advice, too.

@bbill335 I bought a c7 and cab years ago, they had a website then - worked fine.  As for FB I am one of those folks who does not have an account so that isn't an option. Maybe I need to set aside a half hour to call them....

I dealt with them years ago and can't recommend them enough - but sometimes you just want to send off a query and get a response - within a week. 

Looks like I'll be calling them

Half an hour..?? If it's Jeff you want to speak to I'd budget for half a day....

Yep, I took my 1224 in to see Jeff to fix a fault that occurred whilst the amp was being shipped to me. He found the fault in 15 minutes, but I was at the factory all day. 

It's an education visiting the Matamp factory.

Weird - I emailed them last week regarding a few mods and got a response the same evening.

I just used the contact form on their site. Sent an email and Hayden responded not long afterwards. Obviously I picked the right time!

I've never had problems through email with them, have always got a pretty quick response - but calling is definitely easier

I found them to be very friendly and helpful. I agree with the 'not of the computer age' sentiment. Although that may be doing the fellas a disservice...:-)

i dont think its "not of the computer age" issue...its the fact that guys who will reading and responding (Hayden, Jeff etc) are also the guys who are building amps and cabs. So i guess, building comes first, then on breaks from building they would get to the other stuff...

They had an issue with the servers I think. There's something on Facebook about it. As a side issue, their prices seem to have ramped up a bit, but in all fairness they used to be cheap in comparison to other makers in terms of what you were getting for your money.

I think for the price, the quality is absolutely unsurpassed. You can spend more on a mass produced amp.  

Just as well I had no response as I've had a few bills turn up which were unwelcome to say the least. The Matamp will have to wait for the time being.......but it will happen. I'll just ring them up

Alternatively we've a nice new site, and muggins answering emails. Even going to The Guitar Show. In case you wonder this is the same Matamp....

@Van_Hayden new site is very shiny, and very distracting. I did send in an enquiry via the form but luckily for my bank balance the non response was well timed   Unless you happen to have a spare GT1 sitting around you want to clearout.....
